STONE: I would actually say a little different - I would put it a little differently, because he really went away from intuition in his rejection of quantum mechanics. Waves are everyday phenomena; we are all familiar with waves on a body of water or on a vibrating rope. His idea was that reality started out as one universe, which branched out as necessary every time a quantum event, such as a radioactive decay, occurred.
